Our follow-up event to the highly energetic “Working Groups: Cultivating Action,” which took place on January 30th, is Working Groups 201. This event will be a chance to continue exploring the mission of each new working group, to consider further which WG(s) each of us would like to participate in, and to begin the crucial task of mapping out who is already doing related work in our community.
We’ll also have some fun! Come join us!

Reform of the democratic process is an important part of the Transition movement. In Canada, our federal leaders have made a decision to take two months off work, which will send all bills currently in process (including C-311, the Climate Change Accountability Act) back to the start line.
Here’s a link to a petition to bring back Parliament.
There was also a large demonstration (over 1500 people of all political stripes) in Victoria on Saturday, January 23rd, at 1 pm at Centennial square.
